Floyd | The land has been under a curse since the blessing of the Kingdom, the
Floyd | Purple Pearl of Luck, was stolen. The neighboring kingdom is ruled by
Floyd | Bradd, brother to your King Myron, and the two have been warring over
Floyd | the Purple Pearl for decades, stealing it back and forth from each
Floyd | other. A year ago, Bradd stole the Pearl and your best spies and
Floyd | warriors have been unable to take it back, and nothing has gone right
Floyd | since. Milk comes curdled from the cows. Chickens lay rocks. Young
Floyd | people weep. The sun doesn't shine. And not one person has come home
Floyd | from the attempt to take back the pearl in the last year.

Floyd | Today, the King's herald has called a public meeting, and here you are
Floyd | as the trumpets sound to hear the King's announcement.

Floyd | "Hear ye, hear ye!" yells the herald. "By order of King Myron,
Floyd | recruits are sought for a new program to take back our Blessing!"

Floyd | The crowd roars its approval.
