Photography
Photography is a hobby that brings me great joy.I share some of my best high resolution work on another site; below you'll find lower resolution images, usually with accompanying text, to serve as a narrative about a place or experience. All of the photographs listed below, unless credited otherwise, are my own, and I ask that you please respect that. If you'd like to use a photograph for some reason, simply drop me a note (my e-mail address is at the bottom of this page) and tell me about it. Most likely I'll be happy to let you use it, and depending on your needs, I may provide you with the original, which will be larger and have better resolution.Should you be interested in what sort of camera I use, that information is here.

For the Curious: Camera Models
- Photographs posted prior to 2000 were taken with horrible little point and shoot 35mm cameras and scanned in (poorly) because I was an impoverished college student.
- Photographs from 2000 and 2001 were taken with an Olympus D-460 1.2MP digital camera with a 3x optical zoom.
- Photographs from 2002 through the summer of 2005 were taken with an Olympus Camedia C700 2MP digital camera with a 10x optical zoom.
- Photographs from October of 2005 through 2009 were taken using a Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z5, a 5MP digital camera with 12X optical zoom and image stabilization.
- From 2009 forward, some of the images are likely from my iPhone, but my 'real camera' from 2009-2020 was a Nikon D60 DSLR.
- In 2020, I switched away from a DSLR back to a hybrid/bridge camera, because I wanted a really (really!) good zoom, and I personally am fine with a less-sensitive sensor. My current go-to 'real' (non-phone) camera is the Nikon COOLPIX P1000 with a 125x zoom—basically, the world's most ridiculous point and shoot digital camera, and I love it.
