The idea behind ClubFloyd is that each week at a pre-arranged time, a group of people meet online to cooperatively play a game of interactive fiction.

CF | The rooftop is quite high, and you can see down below. You must be
CF | careful not to slip on the fresh fallen snow. Your reindeer wait just
CF | ahead of the sleigh, talking amongst themselves while you're away. The
CF | chimney is nearby, smoking a bit. It doesn't bother you much, because
CF | you are St. Nick.

CF | As you try to do that, you lose your balance and fall on the slippery
CF | roof. With a horrid scream, you slide at great speed towards the edge
CF | of the roof. The last thing you see is the amused faces of your
CF | reindeer as you fall over the edge. You land hard on the front steps of
CF | the house, and all goes black............

CF | Cerfeuil says, "Oh, this seems fun."

CF | Some time later....you awaken face down in the snow.

CF | Now what are you going to do? It seems you have lost your magic after
CF | that nasty fall. The presents are on the roof and there is no way to
CF | get back up there. You will just have to figure something out. Sounds
CF | like there is a party going on, maybe you can slip in and figure out
CF | some way to get back up to the roof to get the presents.

CF | Front Steps
CF | These stone steps lead up to a covered entry, just outside the front
CF | door. A light layer of snow covers each stair, and has small bushes to
CF | each side. You can hear party guests inside, along with some soft
CF | Christmas music. Though you can't see through the tall, arched
CF | windows, the colorful Christmas lights make you feel cheerful and
CF | bright.

CF | Mystery is talking with some Drifters, making sure everyone is having a
CF | good time.

CF | The lights flash colors from red then to green. They cover the bushes
CF | and reach the highest arch of the windows.

CF | Tall pillars rise up on both sides of the covered entry. Tall double
CF | doors mark the entrance to Campbell's magnificent home. Snow covered
CF | bushes decorate the landscape on either side of the front steps. A
CF | large, hanging dome light provides ample lighting for the front area of
CF | the house.

CF | Opening to the dining room to the east and the study to the west,
CF | highly polished hardwood floors give the feeling of being in a grand
CF | place. The curved wall to the northeast provides a sitting area with
CF | two high back leather chairs and a small table. Also to the northeast
CF | is a small bathroom. Opening up to the north is a large hall. Amongst
CF | the other features of this large entry is two floor length mirrors,
CF | that adorn the sides of the hand carved double doors that lead to the
CF | outside.

CF | The desk looks to be mahogany and is quite large and bulky. It has a
CF | drawer off to the left side and a cabinet to the right. Atop the desk
CF | is a fairly standard computer along with a few office supplies. A
CF | narrow, yet tall lamp sits atop the desk providing ample lighting for
CF | the study.

CF | Standing in the hall is the bust of Rob Roy MacGregor and a pink rug
CF | that lies on the floor. The hall opens to the living room, dining
CF | room, and foyer.

CF | A fine leather sofa sits facing the east wall on which there is a
CF | fireplace and plasma television. Located at the end each end of the
CF | sofa is a couple of end tables and faux plants. On the north wall, next
CF | to the patio door, is a state of the art stereo system, located in
CF | front of two tall, arched windows. The highlight of the room is the
CF | tall ADRIFTmas tree filling up the west wall.

CF | Ds490 is here, socializing with some of the Drifters. The Mad Monk
CF | chats amiably with the other partygoers while strategically balancing
CF | five platefuls of food about his person. Nick Grimson is here,
CF | standing somewhat separate from everyone else, lost deep in thought
CF | about how to finish his ADRIFT game.

CF | The walls are kind of WILD in here, as opposed to the rest of the
CF | house. In the center of the room is a billiards table, not too far
CF | away from a dartboard. In the northwest corner of the room is a
CF | hanging chair, and is just to the right of the fireplace on the west
CF | wall. There is also a bar complete with fancy barstools.

CF | Samantha is behind the bar making drinks. MileOut stands in the corner
CF | of the room, lip-synching with others present.

CF | This modern kitchen is quite charming. Granite countertops spread
CF | throughout the kitchen, and cover the island in the center also. A
CF | stove range and refrigerator are located in the northeastern part of
CF | the room, while the main counter, with cabinets above the sink is
CF | located in the southwest portion.

CF | This area, off the kitchen, provides a nice view of the side yard and
CF | has a view to the covered walk to the south. A pine oval table and
CF | matching chairs provide a quaint place to have a morning meal or snack.
CF | The walls, though sparse, due to bay windows taking up most of the
CF | space, are a rich sandy color.

CF | The hall runs east and west, and is void of any decoration. To the

CF | east is the laundry room, while the backdoor lies to the west. The
CF | kitchen is to the north. (Be specific when referring to doors! You need
CF | to type in which door you are referring to. The bathroom door, the
CF | closet door, the laundry room door, or the back door?)

CF | This bathroom has a very sterile look to it, as everything in here is
CF | white. It contains a standard porcelain toilet with a matching sink
CF | counter on the opposite wall. A towel bar is located close to the sink.
CF | The room is very small, but conveniently located off the kitchen and
CF | close to the garage.

CF | of the walls. Against the east wall is a modern looking bed accompanied
CF | by dual nightstands. A mirror hangs on the east wall while a couple of
CF | other pictures hang on the west wall, near a chest of drawers. Plush
CF | carpet covers the floor-providing cushion underfoot. A door leads west
CF | to the patio.

CF | Upon entering the master bathroom, the first thing that catches your Cerfeuil asks, "Can we talk to the various people in the house?"
CF | eye is the magnificent shower on the east wall, next to the raised
CF | platform bath in the southeast corner. A towel bar is located near the
CF | shower and the tub. The walls are a beautiful mauve color, and fitted
CF | with brass and frosted crystal light fixtures, softening the mood of
CF | the room.

CF | This area of the bathroom contains two sink counters on opposite walls.

CF | extraordinary amount of light. It would be a fair statement that they
CF | are his and her fixtures. The floor is carpeted and a print hangs on
CF | the wall just above a towel bar.

CF | of peanut M&Ms and occasionally pops a handful into his mouth.

CF | Opening to the dining room to the east and the study to the west,
CF | highly polished hardwood floors give the feeling of being in a grand
CF | place. The curved wall to the northeast provides a sitting area with
CF | two high back leather chairs and a small table. Also to the northeast
CF | is a small bathroom. Opening up to the north is a large hall. Amongst
CF | the other features of this large entry is two floor length mirrors,
CF | that adorn the sides of the hand carved double doors that lead to the
CF | outside.

DavidW says, "So the lessons for today are 1) don't walk on icy rooftops, 2) don't crash ADRIFT parties or they'll take your pants, 3) Venus flytraps like rotten meat."
Lancelot asks, "looks like thats most of what we are supposed to be doing?"
DavidW says, "possibly"
Lancelot says, "lol"
Lancelot says, "must be a lot of work, putting in all those npcs etc"
DavidW says, "Like, there must be puzzles to solve somewhere."
